Miami Head Coach Don Treadwell

"A loss is a loss, but it hurts more certainly when it's your seniors last home game. It's going to resonate with us for a little bit. We give Western Michigan a lot of credit. They are certainly an explosive team. I thought the defense contained them pretty well considering the amount of damage their offense has done throughout the year. I thought we did a good job executing our game plan and the guys played with a lot of intensity and emotion. The defense has set the tone for us all year now, and certainly set it again tonight against a very explosive Western Michigan offense."

on the offense tonight
"Offensively, it's the little things that you have to address to win ball games. You can't have turnovers or penalties. That will set our team back. We continue to work on becoming a balanced ball club. We have to establish this balance and when we do that, we will get to where we want to be."

on special teams
"Special teams is always important. When you have the opportunity to put points on the board in the red zone, you have to come away with points."

On the senior class
"I can't say enough about this senior class. Their leadership was a staple to this team. I am their third head coach. I have never been on a staff where a senior class has had to work as hard to adjust to so many different coaching styles during their college careers. Hats off to our seniors, and fortunately there is one more week left to get them a win against rival Ohio University."

Quarterback Zac Dysert

On the increased pressure in the second half
"They were getting a lot more pressure, and it was disrupting the flow of our offense. We couldn't get into a rhythm in the second half, and you could really tell. They did a great job with the pressure in the second half, and that helped them come away with the victory."

Safety Anthony Kokal

On Western Michigan's offense
"They're a great offense. They are probably one of the best passing offenses that I have ever played against. You have to give a lot of credit to them; they are good at what they do. We tried our hardest to stop them, and I am proud of our team in our effort, we just came up a little short tonight."

Wide Receiver Chris Givens

On the Senior Night loss
"It's very difficult to go out and not get a win on your senior night. I was proud of my teammates, we fought till the end, things just didn't go our way, and we couldn't catch that lucky break."

Linebacker Ryan Kennedy

On Western Michigan's fast paced play-calling
"There was definitely little time between each play. They got all of their plays off really quickly. I thought we played the pass really well tonight, we just lacked the ability to stop the run again tonight. It's disappointing that we couldn't get the offense back on the field at the end of the game."

Western Michigan Head Coach Bill Cubit

on the game
"I was really really happy with our kids, resiliency wise. We beat a good football team today, and I am really happy with the way things worked out, we all know how hard it is to win on the road in this conference. So it was a real satisfying win."

on the offensive performance
"I don't think we played well on offense. You look down there and we threw for 420 yards, and we kind of disappointed...I thought Jordan was a bit slow out there. Alex took a pretty good shot early, and I think that affected his accuracy on his throwing arm."

on Western Michigan's defensive effort in the second half
"The bigger thing I thought was we were a little bit better contained, we were able to straighten that out. And then Drew, he's the best defensive tackle in the league, and I thought he went in there and got that push and all of a sudden we were getting that tackle. There were a couple times (Dysert) did get out, but Drew with the push inside really did help there.
