OXFORD, Ohio--For the third straight game, Miami University's football team scored in every quarter and cruised to a 31-10 win over Colorado State (0-3) on Saturday afternoon at Yager Stadium. Miami has now won back-to-back games for the first time since the 2007 season, moving to 2-1 on the year.

Sophomore quarterback Zac Dysert threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns, converting an impressive 18-of-22 passes with no interceptions. His longest pass came in the fourth quarter to senior wide receiver Armand Robinson for the RedHawks' final touchdown.

Colorado State got on the board first, as Ben Deline connected on a 25-yard field goal with 5:53 remaining in the first quarter.

On the following drive, after a 43-yard redshirt freshman Zac Murphy punt, senior cornerback Brandon Stephens recovered a fumbled Ram return on the CSU 15-yard line. A false start and botched snap by the RedHawks pushed the ball back to the CSU 45. Miami was able to move the ball back to the 22-yard line, however, off a 20-yard reception by junior wide receiver DeMarco Paine and a three-yard rush by Dysert. Trevor Cook nailed a 39-yard field goal with 3:15 remaining in the opening quarter to even the score, 3-3.

A pair of touchdowns in the second quarter handed Miami a 17-3 advantage heading into halftime. Dysert connected with freshman fullback Justin Semmes with 9:36 remaining in the half on the first touchdown strike. The RedHawk defense collected the second touchdown for the Red and White when sophomore linebacker Evan Harris picked off Pete Thomas and rambled 56 yards--aided by a few key RedHawk blocks--for the touchdown.

Miami extended its lead in the third quarter off a 15-yard touchdown pass from Dysert to junior tight end Kendrick Bruton at the 7:20 mark. With 2:35 left to play in the game, the RedHawks tacked on one more score when Dysert hit Robinson on a 62-yard pass for the touchdown. Cook converted his fourth PAT of the day to hand Miami a 31-3 lead.

Colorado State scored its first touchdown of the year with 1:14 remaining in the game on a six-yard pass from Thomas to Matt Yemm. Deline hit the extra point to make the final score, 31-10.

Miami compiled 299 yards of total offense, while the Rams tallied 305 yards of total offense. The RedHawks had two interceptions for a total of 87 yards. Stephens had the other interception for the `Hawks, returning it for 31 yards.

Miami hits the road for a 2 p.m. (ET) game at Missouri before returning home Oct. 2 for a 1 p.m. game against Kent State.
