Red & White Club Announces Fall Schedule of Events

OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University's Red & White Club (RWC) will host five events this fall, including a Fall Kickoff event featuring Head Football Coach Michael Haywood and Head Volleyball Coach Carolyn Condit on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at The Knolls of Oxford.
The Kickoff event takes place at The Knolls' Auditorium just two days prior to volleyball's season opening weekend at Belmont and 10 days prior to football's season opener at No. 3 Florida.
Tickets are $10 for RWC members and $15 for non-members. Those interested in attending the Aug. 25 event should RSVP to the Red & White Club no later than Friday, Aug. 20 by calling (513) 529-8097 or via email at RWClub@muohio.edu.
Two luncheons and two social hours--a new event on the RWC slate--also will be hosted by the Red & White Club this fall.
On Tuesday, Oct. 5, the RWC Luncheon will take place at City BBQ in West Chester, Ohio. Head Hockey Coach Enrico Blasi and Head Women's Basketball Coach Maria Fantanarosa are the featured speakers for the 11:30 a.m. luncheon. Tickets are $10 for RWC members and $15 for non-members. Attendees should RSVP by Oct. 1.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. there will be an informal gathering with light refreshments at The Knolls of Oxford Clubhouse in the first RWC Social Hour. There is no charge or RSVP required for the event. A trademark of RWC events, coaches and student-athletes (yet to be determined) will be featured guests. Athletics Director Brad Bates also will be a featured guest at this social.
Thursday, Nov. 4 marks the RWC Luncheon and Basketball Season Ticket Pick Up Event at Millett Hall. Head basketball coaches Charlie Coles and Maria Fantanarosa are the featured speakers for the 11:30 a.m. luncheon, and fans have the opportunity to pick up their basketball season tickets. Tickets to the luncheon are $10 for RWC members and $15 for non-members. Those attending are asked to RSVP by Oct. 28, and season ticket holders picking up their tickets at the event also need to indicate that with their RSVP.
The final RWC event of the first semester is a Social Hour at the Knolls of Oxford Clubhouse at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1. There is no charge or RSVP required for the event, and featured coaches and student-athletes are yet to be determined. Events for the winter and spring will be announced later this fall.
Additionally, the Red & White Club will again host a tent in Tailgate Town for RWC members prior to the first four home football games (Sept. 11, Sept, 18, Oct. 2 and Oct. 23). The tent opens two hours prior to kickoff, and a meal will be available to RWC members on a first-come, first-served basis. (RWC members are permitted to bring one guest per member to the tent).
The Red & White Club is the official membership organization that supports Miami University Athletics' annual scholarship needs. Active membership in the Red & White Club begins at $100 each year. Gifts to the Red & White Club go directly into the Red & White Club Scholarship Fund, which annually provides scholarship assistance to varsity sports programs at Miami.
