OXFORD, Ohio -- Miami University Athletics announced today that it has added a free downloadable desktop alert application, The B-Line, to their official athletic web site, providing fans and alumni of the RedHawks instant access to information related to the sports programs.
The B-Line gives fans a full view of Miami University Athletics, alerting them to the latest breaking news and stories, as well as highlights, all while allowing one-click access to muredhawks.com. Free software for the B-Line is available for both PCs and Macs and can be downloaded through the official Miami University Athletics site, www.muredhawks.com.
Muredhawks.com is produced and hosted by CBS College Sports Network, a leader in the official collegiate athletic website business with over 200 colleges and universities currently under contract. The B-Line was provided to the Miami University and muredhawks.com through a partnership agreement between CBS College Sports Network and New Tier, Inc, a pioneer and industry leader in digital marketing solutions. CBS College Sports Network and New Tier are facilitating the launch of similar versions of the B-Line at 75 colleges and universities by the fall of 2009.
"CBS College Sports Network is thrilled to bring the B-Line to the users of muredhawks.com and to fans and alumni of Miami University around the world," said Robert Schupler, Senior Vice President, University Sales & Marketing for CBS College Sports Network. "The B-Line is a lot like having your own personal sporting news ticker docked at the bottom of your screen, providing the latest news, scores and information directly to the desktop."
