ALLEN, TX - The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced the signing of former Miami RedHawks forward Bill Loupée Tuesday.
"Billy is an exciting player to watch," said Americans Head Coach and General Manager Dwight Mullins. "He brings a lot of speed and quickness,"
Loupée is known for his strong skating ability and has a knack for creating scoring opportunities. He can play wing or center, making him a flexible asset to the club. The Michigan native, a recent graduate of Miami University in Ohio, was part of the school's first trip to the Frozen Four, which occurred last season. The RedHawks emerged as national runners-up after falling to Boston University in the National Championship game.
The 24-year-old stands at 5-10 and weighs 183 pounds. He played two seasons in the United States Hockey League before attending Miami University.
"We feel very fortunate to be able to add him to our team," Mullins said.
