Strength Camps Featured This Summer at Miami

OXFORD, Ohio - Young athletes aspiring to become stronger, more agile and more knowledgeable about training and nutrition are encouraged to attend the Strength Camps this coming June at Miami University's Oxford campus.
Students from grades 7-12 are eligible to attend the one-day sessions on June 3, 10, 17 and 24, directed by Miami's renowned Strength and Conditioning staff.
The Strength Camps will address a wide variety of points through both teaching and hands-on methods, including:
*Gaining muscle mass
*The differences between relative, absolute and explosive strength
*Strength Endurance
*Agility and change of direction
*Conditioning techniques for various sports
*Energy systems training
*Flexibility development
*Training with minimal equipment
*Exercise technique
*Nutrition and supplementation
*Debunking myths of exercise and fitness
Students will participate in mini-workouts throughout the day to learn exercise techniques and gain hands-on experience under the expert eye of Miami's professionals--head strength coach James Carsey and assistant coaches Ryan Faehnle, Matt Cady and Cindi Merrill.
Attendees also will receive a training program to help develop them for their chosen sports.
