OXFORD, Ohio - All three of Miami's synchronized skating teams, the senior team, the collegiate team and the junior team, performed an exhibition of their programs for the upcoming season Saturday, Nov. 21 at Coach Cady Arena at the Goggin Ice Center.
The exhibition was a tune-up for all three teams, who open their 2009-10 competitive seasons Dec. 5-6 at the Dr. Porter Classic. The RedHawks will try to sweep gold at the national championships March 4-6 in Minneapolis, Minn., while the ISU World Championships are being held in the United States for just the second time in the history of the event. They will take place April 8-10 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Miami's senior team is coming off a national championship performance last season and seeks the program's fourth senior-level national crown. The collegiate team, the five-time defending national champions, tries for the program's 12th national title at the collegiate level, while the junior team is working towards the varsity program's first national title at that level.
