PEBBLE BEACH, Calif.--Miami University's golf team finished in 18th place at the St. Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif.
Freshman Nathan Sutherland paced the RedHawks, finishing in a tie for 36th place at 10-over par 226. Junior Ben Bastel finished one stroke behind Sutherland, tying for 41st place, while junior Ben Wood tied for 57th place. Freshman Matt Stasiak finished in a tie for 88th place, and junior Aaron Crist tied for 94th place.
Baylor captured the team title among the 18-team field, besting UAB by four strokes. Baylor's Wesley Williams earned medalist honors, firing a two-under par 214.
The RedHawks return to action Sept. 17-18 at the South Alabama Jaguar Invitational in Mobile, Ala.
