Miami University Athletics has entered into a multi-year agreement with ISP, the country's foremost collegiate sports marketing company, to serve as the exclusive multi-media marketer for the RedHawks, Director of Athletics Brad Bates has announced.
With the partnership, which will officially go into effect July 1, ISP - "America's Home for College Sports" will market a variety of corporate sponsorship opportunities involving Miami sports, including live radio and television programming (in cooperation with the Ohio News Network), signage in on-campus facilities, and at-event promotional activities. The company will also serve as a sales representative for MURedHawks.com, the official athletic department website, and various athletic department printed materials.
"Miami University is a school with national reputations for both its academics and athletics," Bates said. "As we move ahead and grow, we needed a partner who would be there with us and ISP is a great fit. We are thrilled to be joining into this partnership with such a nationally respected company that already handles some of the nation's largest properties. ISP will enhance our current and future corporate partnerships in mutually beneficial ways."
Based in Winston-Salem, NC, ISP is the multi-media rightsholder for more than 40 collegiate athletic properties, including the Mid-American Conference and its football and basketball championship events, as well as league members Akron, Kent State and Ohio.
"We are very excited to join with Brad Bates and his staff in the promotion and support of RedHawk Athletics," ISP President and CEO Ben Sutton says. "The academic and athletic traditions of Miami University are well-known across the country and we look forward to bringing a greater national presence to this outstanding athletic program in the corporate marketplace."
Miami University Athletics offers 19 sports programs, with all competing in the Mid-American Conference except for ice hockey, which competes in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, and women's synchronized skating, which competes as part of U.S. Figure Skating. Over the course of the program's history, 166 student-athletes have garnered All-America or Academic All-America honors, including the recent six-time NBA champion Ron Harper and Super Bowl XL champion Ben Roethlisberger.
