OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University students and loyal fan base learned what they are capable of Tuesday night, creating a home court advantage for Charlie Coles' men's basketball team as they downed Xavier, 59-57 in front of over 6,000 fans at Millett Hall.
The thrilling action continues on Wednesday night as the raucous crowd moves to Yager Stadium where the MAC-East leading Miami football squad welcomes ESPN2's Lou Holtz, Mark May and Rece Davis and a national audience to Oxford as the RedHawks take on Akron. The showdown has major implications as Miami can move within one game of a MAC-East title and berth in the MAC Championship Game with a win over the Zips.
The 2007 home finale for the RedHawks will continue the week's white-out trend as Miami fans are asked to again white out the competition in front of the national television audience.
Super Fans that attend all four Super Fan games, including the two hockey games vs. Notre Dame, Tuesday's men's basketball game vs. Xavier and Wednesday night's football game vs. Akron, and have their Super Fan Card stamped at each game will receive a limited-edition long sleeve T-shirt and entered into a drawing for a huge prize pack.
