RedHawks Finish in Eighth-Place Tie at Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate

LAS CRUCES, N.M.--Miami University's golf team finished in a tie for eighth place among the 17-team field at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate.
Junior Ben Wood paced the RedHawks, tying for 17th place with rounds of 72-68-72 to finish at one-under par 212. Freshman Nathan Sutherland consistently lowered his scores throughout the tournament with rounds of 74-70-68 to finish at even-par 213 and tying for 20th place.
Sophomore Craig Voorhees tied for 45th place at six-over par 219, while junior Ben Bastel tied for 47th place at seven-over par 220. Sophomore Andrew Aseltine finished in 86th place at 17-over par 230.
Texas Tech captured the team title, while Sergio Franky (Texas Tech) claimed medalist honors at 11-undeer par 202.
Miami rounds out its fall season Nov. 5-6 at the Wolverine Invitational in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.
