RedHawks fall to #15 Bobcats

ATHENS, Ohio - The Miami University field hockey team fell to #15 Ohio University, 2-1, in Athens, Ohio on Sunday afternoon.
Miami's Elizabeth Gilroy scored for the RedHawks in the 65th minute with an assist from Teja Kammler. Kelsey Dean played in goal for MU, turning away one shot.
The Bobcats outshot Miami 11-6 and had six penalty corners to one for the RedHawks, who fall to 5-10 on the season and 3-4 in the MAC. Ohio is now 12-4 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
The RedHawks will next host Ball State and Central Michigan on Friday and Saturday, at 6 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
