Miami Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI - The Miami University women's tennis team saw its overall record drop to 1-3 on Friday night with a 5-2 loss to the University of Cincinnati. Kristen McPhillips and Jessica Linden posted singles victories for the RedHawks, while team of Linden and Kelly Douple turned in an impressive performance in doubles action for the Red and White. Miami's next match comes on Feb. 3 when the RedHawks travel to Butler for a 2 p.m. start.
McPhillips straight-set victory (6-2, 7-5) came over Alizee Paradis at No. 4 singles, while Linden downed Jenny Rowen in convincing fashion (6-2, 6-3) at No. 6 singles. In Miami's lone doubles win, Douple and Linden were 8-2 winners over the team of Rowen and Elizabeth Young at No. 3 doubles.
