INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Trailing 2-0 after Nos. 1 and 2 singles, the Miami University tennis team rattled off five consecutive victories and downed Butler 5-2. The win improved Miami's record to 2-3 on the season as the RedHawks prepare to take on Michigan State (Feb. 10) and Ohio State (Feb. 11) next weekend.
Scoring victories in singles action were Kelly Douple (6-2, 6-0), Kristen McPhillips (6-3, 6-1), Victoria Pulido (6-0, 6-0) and Jessica Linden (6-1, 6-0). The RedHawks took the doubles point by sweeping all three matches with the teams of Linda Jirouskova/Katrina Lomidze (8-2), Pulido/McPhillips (8-7) and Douple/Linen (8-3) all posting victories.
