Gatorade and Miami University Athletics Extend Partnership

OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today that it has re-signed Gatorade® Thirst Quencher to a new corporate partnership agreement that extends through the 2009-10 athletics calendar.
As "The Official Sports Drink Partner of Miami Athletics," the agreement will provide Gatorade with exclusive product and equipment placement on sidelines for all 19 sports, as well as additional sponsorship element exposure. The partnership will provide over 500 Miami University athletes with Gatorade's complete line of products, including fluid and electrolyte replenishment as well as carbohydrate energy products.
"As a 1985 graduate of Miami this deal has special significance for me," said Tom Fox, Gatorade's Senior V.P. of Sports Marketing, "but Miami University Athletics are on the rise and this agreement fits perfectly with our strategy of aligning with the elite level programs in the country".

Miami Sports Marketing has formed local, regional and national corporate partnerships with companies throughout the tri-state and beyond in a variety of product categories and business channels. MSM's goal is to match a company's business and marketing objectives to the corporate partnership inventory it has available by creating a customized package suitable to a company's needs.
Miami University Athletics offers 19 sports programs, with all programs competing in Mid-American Conference (MAC), except for ice hockey, which competes in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and women's synchronized skating who competes as part of U.S. Figure Skating. Over the course of the program's history, 166 student-athletes have garnered all-America or academic all-America honors, including the recent likes of six-time NBA champion Ron Harper and Super Bowl XL Champion Ben Roethlisberger.
