Final Stats | Notes

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) -Garrett Wolfe rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries to lead Northern Illinois to a 28-25 victory Sunday night over winless Miami of Ohio.

Wolfe, who leads the nation in rushing, all-purpose yardage and scoring, has rushed for 100 yards or more in 11 straight games.

Miami redshirt freshman Dustin Woods had eight catches for 178 yards, both career highs, and a touchdown. Andre Bratton ran for two touchdowns in the second half for Miami.

Wolfe ran in the two-point conversion after Phil Horvath's three-yard TD pass to Brandon Davis with 7:46 left to put the Huskies ahead by the final margin, the last of three lead changes in the fourth quarter.

Chris Nendick hit field goals from 25 and 37 yards for the Huskies.

Mike Kokal threw for 324 yards and a touchdown for the RedHawks. His 80-yard touchdown pass to Woods made the score 10-9 and was Miami's longest touchdown completion since 2001 when Ben Roethlisberger threw 81 yards to Michael Larkin at Bowling Green.

A 37-yard field goal by Trevor Cook gave Miami a 3-0 lead.

Wendell Brunson's fumbled punt was recovered by the Huskies' Greg Turner. Wolfe sprinted 16 yards for a touchdown two plays later to give Northern Illinois a 7-3 lead.

The Huskies (4-2) extended their winning streak to four games. Miami began the season 0-6 for just the third time in the program's 118-year history.
