Miami Volleyball Falls to Unbeaten Indiana

PITTSBURGH (Sept. 8, 2000) - Miami's volleyball team dropped its opening match of the Pittsburgh Invitational Friday afternoon, falling in three games (15-5, 15-7, 15-5) to the unbeaten Indiana Hoosiers.
The bright spot for the RedHawks was sophomore Kelly McCullough (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson), who knocked down 10 kills and three blocks. Junior Sara Uehlin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) also made an impact, tallying three service aces for the Red and White.
The loss, which was the third in a row for Miami, dropped the RedHawks to 2-3. With the win, Indiana upped its record to a flawless 4-0 on the year.
Miami returns to action at the Pittsburgh Invitational on Saturday when it faces host Pitt at 1 p.m. and Southeastern Conference foe Arkansas at 5 p.m.
