Miami Athletics Announces Three Staff Hirings

Atkins, who graduated from North Dakota State University in 1998 and completed her graduate degree at the University of Idaho in 2000, joins the RedHawk training staff following extensive experience in collegiate athletics. Atkins worked with Idahos track and field and womens volleyball programs as a graduate assistant and assisted with womens basketball, softball and track and field as a student athletic trainer at North Dakota State. Atkins is working primarily with the RedHawk womens volleyball, tennis and swimming and diving programs while also assisting with the mens swimming and diving teams.
Timms earned his bachelors degree from Marietta College in 1996 and his masters degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1998. Most recently, Timms worked at Saint Lawrence University in New York, focusing primarily on womens ice hockey and softball, and mens soccer, cross country and track and field. Timms will be working with the RedHawk ice hockey, baseball, golf and synchronized skating teams.
Hayes, a 2000 graduate of Augustana College in South Dakota, joins the staff after gaining experience working with many organizations. While at Augustana, Hayes assisted with the schools athletic training program as well as working at the Sioux Valley Hospital and Health Systems Wellness Center and the Kettering Medical Center Rehabilitation and Sports Acceleration Center. At Miami, Hayes assists Dalrymple with both the mens and womens programs.
"Jolene, Garrett and Sarah are all great additions to our department," said Maturi. "We are pleased to have them working with our student-athletes."
