Sporting a 3.81 career goals-against average, Kodatsky, who currently ranks ninth in the category, was the career record holder until 1994. For more than a decade, until 1995, he also was the career record holder in save percentage (.866), currently ranking fifth on the list.
Noted as a pillar of strength in Miami's defense throughout his career, Kodatsky was named the team's co-Rookie of the Year in 1978-79 and was tabbed the team's MVP the following year. In his final season with the Red and White, Kodatsky helped Miami transition into its first season in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.
