Allison Boevers joined the Miami women's track and field program as a volunteer assistant coach in 2014, bringing to the table a strong knowledge of throwing from her impressive competitive career.
Boevers competed collegiately at the University of Michigan, qualifying for the NCAA preliminary round four times over her career. She scored in Big Ten Indoor and Outdoor Championship meets six times while competing in the discus and shot put. She served as a team captain at Michigan in 2011 and won two silver medals at the Canadian National Championships. She was also a member of the Canadian Junior National Team at the Junior World Championships in 2008.
A native of Zeeland, Mich., Boevers graduated from Michigan in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in English. She is married to Miami's throwing coach, Colin Boevers.
