Lee Ann Shoker

Lee Ann Shoker returns for her 18th year with the Miami Synchronized Skating program and her 16th season as an assistant coach in 2023-24.

During her time on staff at Miami, Shoker has helped coach seven RedHawk Senior teams that qualified for the World Championships, including the 2007 World Silver Medalists and the 2009 National Championship team. She also has helped the Collegiate Team win 13 national titles as an assistant coach. 

Shoker is a 1996 graduate of Miami with degrees in mass communication and political science. While at Miami, she taught skating and participated on the 1993 Junior National Championship Synchronized Team, the first Varsity Synchronized Team in 1995-96 and represented the U.S. as a member of the first Synchronized World Challenge Cup Team her senior year.

A native of Oxford, Ohio, Shoker grew up skating at the Goggin Ice Arena and was a member of the Oxford Skating Club.

After Miami, Shoker studied law at Ohio Northern University where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. She has been coaching for more than 20 years and is a member of the Professional Skaters Association where she is certified rated in group and master rated in team skating, Level V ranking.
