Logan Plumley is in hist first year as linebacker coach for the RedHawks.

Plumley has been with the University of Indianapolis football staff since 2022. He served as outside linebackers coach in 2022 and 2023 and added Co-Defensive Coordinator to his title the past two seasons.

With Plumley at the helm of the UIndy defense, the Greyhounds won back-to-back GLVC Championships in 2024 and 2025. His defense ranked top-25 nationally in most major statistics and helped produce five first-team all-conference selections in 2025. This past year he also coordinated kickoff returns, which finished in the top-5 nationally in return average.

The Greyhounds added two more conference championships in 2022 and 2023 and Plumley helped produce two all-conference linebackers in that span.
Prior to coming to UIndy, Plumley spent the two seasons at Bulter University working with the outside linebackers, adding kicking coordinator duties in 2021. He mentored All-Pioneer League linebacker Mickey Kane in 2020 and also assisted with preparation of game plan, practice plan and daily operations of the defense.
Before Butler, Plumley was a Defensive Graduate Assistant at his alma mater Miami University for two years. He was part of the staff that guided the RedHawks to the MAC championship in 2019 and helped the defense to a top-three ranking in the league in back-to-back seasons.

Plumley, a Bucyrus, Ohio native, completed his undergraduate degree in life science from Miami University in 2017. He added a master’s in kinesiology and health in 2020.
