Israel Woolfork begins his seventh year with Miami and his fourth year coaching wide receivers. He spent three seasons coaching running backs as well.

Woolford's impact can be seen across the wide receiver group, but it starts with Jack Sorenson. Prior to 2018, Sorenson had never caught a pass with the RedHawks. That changed quickly as Sorenson would earn third team All-MAC honors, catching 53 passes for 742 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Despite battling injuries all season long, Sorenson continued to improve in 2019. The junior was named Offensive Player of the Game in the MAC Championship win with eight catches for 123 yards and a touchdown. Sorenson earned second team All-MAC in 2020.

Prior to coaching wide receivers, Wolfork worked directly with running backs. Two of those running backs, Alonzo Smith and Kenny Young can be found throughout Miami's record book. Smith ranks eighth all-time with 2,613 rushing yards. Young is 10th in school history with 3,259 all purpose yards and 13th with 1,989 rushing yards. He is also one of two players in school history with 1,900 yards rushing and at least 100 catches in his career.

Prior to arriving in Oxford, Ohio, Woolfork spent four season as a member of the football team at Grand Valley State University (2008-12). He was a three-year starter for GVSU and served as a team captain his senior year. That same season he earned all-conference honors.

Woolfork graduated with a degree in sports leadership from GVSU in 2013.
