Joan Carol Oliveras is in his third year as an assistant coach with the field hockey program.
In his first two years the RedHawks have combined to to go 29-16 overall and 13-2 in MAC play, capturing a pair of MAC regular season and post season tournament championships. Miami has gone on to play in two NCAA Tournaments, capturing an opening round win each season.
