HIGH SCHOOL: One of the top junior players in the nation, ranking as high as No. 7 in 16s in 2004 ... from 2001 to 2002 won four gold balls in doubles and reached the singles final of the USTA Super National Hard Court Championships ... winner of five super nationals in juniors doubles ... ranked No. 1 in the Eastern Section in 14[apos]s 16[apos]s and 18[apos]s and ranked No. 2 nationally in 14[apos]s and 16[apos]s singles.
PERSONAL: Turns 21 years old in October 2008 ... daughter of Susan and Larry Larson ... majoring in sports studies with a minor in marketing ... her sister, J.J., is a senior on the Virginia Tech tennis team ... cousin, Matt, played baseball at Alabama and later in the Florida Marlins minor league system ... father, Larry, played baseball at Miami earning letters in 1972 and [apos]73 ... Miami[apos]s 1973 baseball team won the Mid-American Conference and posted a 28-9 record for the season, advancing to the NCAA District 4 Playoffs.
