Following a 24-21 Homecoming win against UConn last Saturday, Miami Football returns to Yager Stadium Saturday, Oct. 3 at 3:30 p.m. It's the Cradle of Coaches game and Ag Day. Don't miss the pregame fan fest outside the south end of the stadium with live music by the Michelle Robinson Band, food trucks, beverages and more before heading in to cheer on the RedHawks! No. 16 Miami Field Hockey notched a 4-2 win against James Madison before claiming a 2-1 win against App State last weekend. Malena Sabez was tabbed the NFHCA Offensive Player of the week for her efforts the previous week. Miami travels for a match at No. 4 UMass Friday and at New Hampshire Sunday.
Miami Soccer hosts Buffalo Thursday at 7 p.m. before hitting the road for a match at Central Michigan Sunday. Thursday will be the RedHawks' Cradle of Coaches game. The RedHawks played to a 1-1 draw against Ball State last Sunday.
Miami Cross Country teams competed at the Lakefront Invitational with the women's team placing 13th and the men's team coming in 14th. The RedHawks next compete at the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., October 16.
Miami Swimming & Diving opens the competitive season at Northwestern on Friday.
Miami Golf hosts individuals in The Indy at Forest Hills in Richmond, Ind. on Friday.
Miami Tennis plays in the Indiana Invitational Friday - Sunday.
Rick McVey Indoor Golf Facility to Open Next Spring
Miami University director of athletics David Sayler announced that the RedHawks will officially open the Rick McVey Indoor Golf Facility in the spring of 2027. The facility will be located in a retrofitted university building off of Wells Mill Drive in Oxford and provide a 3,500-square-foot all-season, state-of-the-art golf training center for Miami Golf.
