For their performances last week, Justina Intzes and David McComb are Miami's Athletes of the Week, presented by Skyline Chili for the week of September 28.
Female Winner: Justina Intzes
Justina Intzes scored three of Miami's six goals this week, including two against James Madison and one against App State in a pair of key MAC wins for the No. 16 RedHawks. She finished the weekend with nine total shots (five on goal) and tallied six points. Intzes also scored the game-winner against James Madison. A sophomore from Mendoza, Argentina, she is studying Engineering Management in the College of Engineering and Computing.
Male Winner: David McComb
David McComb completed 19-of-29 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns in a come-from-behind victory over UConn last Saturday. He added a career-high 33 yards on the ground and a rushing score as well as the RedHawks improved to 2-2 on the season. A redshirt freshman from Edmond, Okla., he is studying Small Business Management in the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science.
