Miami Athletics is excited to celebrate Homecoming week Sept. 21-27. This week is highlighted with numerous activities, which includes Uptown Madness, an opportunity to interact with the men's and women's basketball teams in uptown Oxford this Friday, Sept. 25 at approximalety 9:45 p.m. and the Miami University football team's game against the UConn Huskies on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 3:30 p.m.
Prior to Uptown Madness, the Uptown Pep Rally will begin at 9 p.m. and feature live music and a DJ, fun games and activities and local food trucks. Before Saturday's football game, the Pregame Fan Fest will run from 1 to 3 p.m. and include live music by Miami alumna Miss Jacque, food trucks, a big-screen TV, yard games, inflatables, beverages and more.

Miami Cares Food Drive from Wednesday, Sept. 23 to Saturday, Sept. 26

Join us in helping ensure Miami students have easy access to food and hygiene products while they're on campus. We are hosting a food drive to support the Miami Cares Food Pantry in Nellie Craig Walker Hall. Collection boxes will be placed around campus from Wednesday to Saturday. If you would like to support the Miami Cares Food Pantry, you can make a monetary donation through GivetoMiamiOH.
Items can also be donated at Saturday's football game outside the gates. Any student who makes a donation will be entered into a drawing for gift cards, and any fans who makes a donation will receive a promo code that can be redeemed for a ticket to a future game.

Miami University Athletics will recognize the following seven individuals and team being inducted: Stephanie Danesis '12 (Women's Tennis), Bea Dechant '16 (Field Hockey), Patrick Flavin '18 (Golf), Ron Harper HA '26 (Men's Basketball), Mary Haskell O'Leary '79 (administration), Andy Miele '11 (Ice Hockey), Kelsey Vehr '11 (Women's Swimming) and the 2006–07 Synchronized Skating team — only the second team in school history to enter Miami's Hall of Fame.

Miami Basketball will take over uptown Oxford this week as part of Homecoming weekend. The men's and women's teams will hold Uptown Madness, where the RedHawks will take part in skills competitions and mini-games on the outdoor court that night. One lucky student will have the opportunity to make a shot for $1,000. The event will be held on a blocked-off North Main Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Park and Oxford Memorial Park in the center of town and is open to all fans.
This preview event for the highly-anticipated 2026-27 season will also include an opportunity for fans to meet the teams as part of the Homecoming weekend festivities.

Fitness fun is on deck — or rather, on the patio and in the yard — as President Greg Crawford and Dr. Renate Crawford host a M.O.V.E. Bootcamp at 10 a.m. at their home, Lewis Place (310 E. High St.).
M.O.V.E. (Miami and Oxford Value Exercise) is a free monthly fitness class with the Crawfords, open to the university, the community, and local alumni.

Miami returns to Yager Stadium Saturday, Sept. 26 for Homecoming to face UConn at 3:30 p.m. Giveaways include 5,000 cowbells, 5,000 Miami football pins, 4,000 straw hats and 5,000 t-shirts (t-shirts will be distributed on the south concourse of Yager Stadium 30 minutes before kickoff). Pregame will consist of Miami alumni band performing with the marching band. 100 members of Miami's ROTC Programs will be participating in the flag ceremony, and there will be a joint color guard for the national anthem.
Throughout the game there will be numerous recognitions which includes Hall of Fame members being honored, a Celebration of Miami championship teams, highlighting Reese, Jacoby and Cartwright trophies, welcoming back football alumni (including 1986 MAC championship team), Love and Honor Cup winners will be announced and the 18 of the last 09 honorees will be recognized.
