Three RedHawks Compete in Steeplechase at NCAA East First Round

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Petros Sanchez Ropero, Anton Martinez and Tom Heal competed in the 3K steeplechase today in the NCAA East First Round Championships hosted at the University of Kentucky.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sanchez was the first RedHawk to cross the finish line with a time of 8:47.89, coming in 21st. Heal followed closely, finishing in 8:50.22, and Martinez crossed the line at 8:55.54.

UP NEXT
Kate Hallie and Ella Garvin are set to compete Saturday in discus and high jump, respectively. Hallie will begin competition at 1 p.m. and Garvin will begin competing at 2 p.m.
