Six RedHawks to Represent Miami at East First Round

OXFORD, Ohio-- Six RedHawks will represent Miami at the East First Round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Lexington, Ky. next week (May 28-30). Miami's qualifying athletes include Mia Boule, Ella Garvin, Kate Hallie, Tom Heal, Anton Martinez and Petros Sanchez Ropero.

Boule will compete in pole vault on Thursday, May 28, starting at 6:30 p.m., after her mark of 4.22m at the MAC championships qualified her for the First Round meet.

Garvin, who qualified with a season-best mark of 1.78m at the Billy Hayes Invitational and ranks 20th in the East, will compete on Saturday, May 30 at 2 p.m.

Hallie, whose qualifying discus mark (51.89m) was set at home at the RedHawk Invitational and is the current program record, will compete on Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m.

Heal, Martinez and Sanchez each produced season-best 3K steeplechase times of 8:47.85, 8:47.22 and 8:45.20 (respectively) at the MAC Championships and swept the MAC podium with Sanchez taking the champion title. They are set to compete at 5:40 p.m. on Friday, May 29 in Lexington.
