Garvin Named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND— The Mid-American Conference announced that Miami University's Ella Garvin has been named the MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Garvin tied for seventh in high jump in a field of 55 competitors at the Raleigh Relays last week, jumping 1.72m. She already held first in the MAC from her previous jump, and her mark in Raleigh is the second-highest jump in the MAC this season.

Garvin, a junior from New Castle, Ind., is an Accountancy major in the Farmer School of Business. Miami is back in action this week at the Oliver Nikoloff Invite in Cincinnati, Ohio.
