DEARBORN, Mich.—The Miami University collegiate synchronized skating team took second place at the Tri-State Competition on Saturday, earning a score of 105.40 in a seven-team field.

- On Saturday evening, the RedHawks skated their free program and finished in second place in a seven-team field.
- Miami recorded an executed elements score of 55.03 and a factored program component score of 52.37.
- The team incurred two points in deductions, resulting in a final score of 105.40.
- The Northernettes (CTNQ), True North FSC took first place with a score of 108.26, and Western Michigan University took third place with a score of 96.18.

- The Miami senior team will skate at intermission of the February 20 Miami Hockey game in Oxford. The RedHawks' next competition for both the senior and collegiate teams is the U.S Synchronized Skating Championship (Mar. 6-7 in Salt Lake City, Utah).
