Women's Swim and Dive Finishes Day Two at MAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio — The Miami University women's swimming and diving team continued the 2026 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships, and after day two, the women's team is currently in fifth place among nine teams, scoring 188 points. The other team standings include the University of Akron in first with 265 points, Ohio in second with 193 points, Buffalo in third with 191 points, Ball State in fourth with 189 points, Eastern Michigan in sixth place with 120 points, UMass in seventh with 86 points, Toledo in eighth with 59 points and Bowling Green in ninth with 55 points.

How it Happened:

The meet kicked off with the 500 free, as Gracie Gregory secured a second-place finish (4:49.49) to lead the Red and White.
The 200 IM was next, as Kaylin Herbet paced the RedHawks by taking second with a time of 1:58.52.
In the 50 free, Natalie Gilson took sixth (22.84) and Julia Waechter grabbed seventh (22.94) to secure the top times for Miami.
After that was the 1M dive, where Sydney Rice placed fifth, tallying a score of 267.85. Mia Meinhardt also competed in this event, as she earned ninth with 253.50 points.
In the 400 medley relay the women finished in seventh. Ella Ziegert, Natalie Gilson, Herbet and Waechter turned in a combined time of 3:41.60.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks women's swimming and diving team will return to Ocasek Natatorium for day three of the MAC Championships. The preliminaries start at 10 a.m. and the finals begin at 6 p.m.
