OXFORD, Ohio – Jennifer Beardslee, Miami's Assistant AD for Wellness Services, has announced the addition of Caitlyn Wilson as an assistant athletic trainer. Wilson will work directly with football and both the men's and women's cross country/track programs.
Â
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be back at my alma mater, Miami University," said Wilson. "I had the great honor to work with Miami football back in 2019 and I can confidently say that there is no culture quite like Miami Athletics. I am excited to contribute to the future success of an iconic organization."
Â
Wilson spent the past two seasons (2023-24) as a Seasonal Athletic Trainer with the Pittsburgh Steelers. During her time in the Steel City, she performed standard athletic training responsibilities, including injury evaluation and developing rehab plans. She also oversaw the student athletic trainers and developed end of the year injury reports that included data analysis on different types of injuries.
Â
"I am thrilled to announce the hiring of Caitlyn Wilson to Assistant Athletic Trainer," said Beardslee. "Caitlyn is highly motivated with a very strong work ethic. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Miami Wellness Services having been a member of the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers organizations the past three years."Â Â
Â
Prior to the Steelers, Wilson spent one year with the Cincinnati Bengals (2022) as a Seasonal Athletic Trainer and prior to that, she was a Certified Graduate Assistant at Tennessee Technological University (2020-22).
Â
Wilson, a 2020 Miami graduate, gained for years of clinical experience with the RedHawks from 2017-20, working with multiple programs throughout her time in Oxford. She has also worked at the NCAA Datalys Center (2019-20) and the Ersha Olympic Training Center (2019) in Guangzhou, China.
Â
Wilson completed her athletic training, kinesiology and health degree from Miami in 2020 and add an exercise science, physical education and wellness master's degree from Tennessee Technological University in 2022.
