Fletcher Announces Four Additions to 2025-26 Roster
6/13/2025 3:57:00 PM | Men's Golf
Miami University Golf head coach JD Fletcher has announced four new additions to his golf program. Bric Baird, Joseph Canitano, Zach Radtke and Michael Stagnaro will join the RedHawks' roster for the 2025-26 season.
Â
"We are excited about this class," said Fletcher. "In the current climate of the NCAA, there is less and less loyalty from players and coaches. When recruiting these four players, it was paramount that we find guys that want to bleed Red and White on a 24-7-365 days-a-year basis. This class embodies what we set out to look for, and I want to thank my assistant coaches Bruce Cunningham and Charlie Winkler for their work to solidify this group.
Â
"All four of our incoming players have had prior family members attend Miami in some capacity or will be legacy. These boys all know how amazing Miami is and what this opportunity does for not only their golf careers, but how it will mold them into amazing young men of character and integrity. All four are extremely grateful for the opportunity and plan on leaving a major impact on the program."

Â
Bric Baird, 5-9, 155, Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington
Â
PRIOR TO MIAMI
Coach Fletcher says: "Bric is Mr. Consistent. He was a late bloomer to the game and comes from a very athletic background, as he grew up playing high-level lacrosse, basketball and soccer. Good golf is also in his genes, as his father produced a very successful collegiate career. I really admire the relationship Bric and his dad have on the golf course. They work together and compete together; I think that is a really special bond.Â
Â
"Bric was the 1-man and captain of his High School team his senior year and I look forward to Bric bringing those leadership qualities to our program. He is a total golf nerd, as am I, which is why Bric and I have gotten along very well in the entire recruiting process. I am very excited to see what Bric does with his time in Oxford."
Â
Â
Joseph Canitano, 5-8, 155, Milton, Ga./Rivers Academy/Michigan State
Â
PRIOR TO MIAMI
Coach Fletcher says: "We are very excited by the late addition of Joe Canitano. He comes from prestigious golf programs such as Michigan State and Rivers Academy, where his team won three high school national championships. Joe is a consistent player and was a top-100 junior in the 2024 class.
Â
"He is a kid that truly loves the game of golf and understands how hard he needs to work in order to get to the next level."Â
Â
Â
Zach Radtke, 6-1, 160, Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome
Â
PRIOR TO MIAMI
Coach Fletcher says: "Zach comes from a long line of Dublin Jerome grads who have gone on to play at Miami: Myself, Cam Solomon, Jack Herceg, Brett Podobinski and now Zach. I am excited to keep the Jerome pipeline going. I am also excited for Brett as a current senior to mentor Z throughout his freshman year. This one was also close to home due to the fact that Zach has the same swing coach as I had when I was a junior. Brad Sparling was very influential in me coming to Miami, and Brad is definitely someone I can trust when it comes to recruiting one of his players.Â
Â
"Zach brings a lot to the table and I still feel he has not even come close to hitting his full potential. He is a high-speed player with the ability to go super-low. He has shot in the 60s multiple times, and that is a skill that is required for high-level Division I golf."
Â
Â
Michael Stagnaro, 5-10, 165, Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier
Â
PRIOR TO MIAMI
Coach Fletcher says: "'Stags', as we call him, is a wonderful young man and comes from highly-regarded St. Xavier High School. Stags set an all-time scoring average record at St. X and was the 1-man and captain in his senior-year season. My assistant coach Charlie Winkler deserves all the credit with this one. Charlie was very high on Stags from the get-go and wanted him in Oxford.Â
Â
"Stags really solidified his spot after having an amazing camp with us in the winter of 2024. He came to camps with the best questions and you could really tell he would do anything to try and get better."Â
