Four RedHawks Compete in NCAA East Regional Qualifier

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The RedHawk women had four different athletes compete in the second day of the NCAA East First Round Qualifiers. Ella Scally led the way on the day as she qualified for the national championship long jump competition in two weeks (June 11-14).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Adam Smith will compete in the men's discus throw event at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 30 with a chance to advance to the national championships in Eugene, Ore.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field for the women, Scally finished 10th in the women's long jump event with 6.17 meters. In the women's hammer throw, Ella Rigel finished 25th with 58.39 meters. Allie Melchiorre finished 47th in the women's javelin throw with 37.94 meters.
- In the women's 400-meter dash, Abby Suszek finished 40th with a time of 54.00 seconds.
