RedHawks Recognized as Doubles and Singles MAC Players of Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Monday afternoon, the Mid-American Conference announced Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek and Malu Oliveira as the MAC Doubles Team of the Week. They also released that Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek was voted MAC Singles Player of the Week.
Catherine and Malu played a hard match on Friday, where they beat NIU 6-4. Their victory clinched the doubles point, which was vital to the RedHawks 4-3 win over NIU.
Catherine finished the regular season off strong with a 6-2, 6-2 win against NIU. Her victory wrapped up her undefeated singles record in the MAC regular season at the No. 1 singles spot.
These RedHawks victories helped Miami win the match and become the MAC regular season outright champions.
Miami tennis returns to action Thursday, March 24, in Toledo, Ohio, to compete in the MAC tournament.
