Women's Swim and Dive Take Third Place at Day One of MAC Championships

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Miami University women's swimming and diving team traveled to Buffalo for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025. After day one, the women's team is in third-place among eight teams, scoring points 64. Other placements were the University of Akron in first with 74 points, Ohio University in second with 70 points, University of Buffalo in fourth with 62 points, Ball State University in fifth with 54 points, Eastern Michigan University in sixth with 52 points, University of Toledo in seventh with 50 points and Bowling Green State University in eighth with 46 points.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks women's swimming and diving team will return to Buffalo for day two of the MAC Championships, Thursday, Feb. 27. The preliminaries start at 10 a.m. and the finals begin at 6 p.m.
How it Happened:
- The meet kicked off with the 200 medley relay where the women finished third. Madeline Padavic, Emma Schueler, McKenzie Reid and Julia Waecther turned in a combined time of 1:38.52.
- The meet concluded with the 800 freestyle relay where the women finished third. Chrisna Bezuidenhout, Kaylin Herbet, Taylor Connors and Erin Szczupakiewicz posted a combined time of 7:18.63.
