RedHawks Have Impressive Day at John McNichols Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The RedHawk cross country teams traveled to Indiana State University this weekend to run in the John McNichols Invitational. The men ran the 8k and finished in fourth place with 148 points, while the women ran the 6k and finished in sixth place with 187 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks will return to the state of Indiana in two weeks for their next race, as Miami competes in the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite on Friday, October 4.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- For the women, Annie Christie was the highest placing RedHawk and she finished in third place with a time of 21:06.1. Ava Nuttall finished 20th with a time of 21:53.1. Linda Conchetto (22:31.5) and Ella Daddario (22:37.8) finished in 50th and 56th place, respectively. Cara Razavi finished in 89th place with a time of 23:12.8 seconds. Â
- For the men, Mhalicki Bronson led the Miami men by coming in fifth place overall with a time of 24:25.8 seconds. Bronson was the highest-finishing Division I runner, helping the RedHawk team come in ahead of every other Division I program in the race. Patrick Wills (24:48.0) and Chris Perkins (24:50.4) were right behind Bronson, claiming 15th and 18th place, respectively. Petros Sanchez Ropero came in 49th place with a time of 25:15.3. Victor Orsinelli rounded out the top five for the RedHawks as he finished in 76th place with a time of 25:35.0.
The RedHawks will return to the state of Indiana in two weeks for their next race, as Miami competes in the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite on Friday, October 4.
