Hlebec, McDonald Named Miami Athletes of Week

For their performances last week, Jamie Hlebec and Cade McDonald are Miami's Athletes of the Week, presented by Skyline Chili for the week of Sept. 16.

Female Winner: Jamie Hlebec
Jamie Hlebec opened her RedHawk goal scoring account on her first shot of the season with the winner against Chicago State. The fifth-year defender played in 73 minutes of the match and helped lead Miami Soccer to its third straight clean sheet to close out the non-conference schedule. Hlebec, a native of Milton, Ga., is pursuing a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Technology from Miami's College of Creative Arts.

Male Winner: Cade McDonald
Cade McDonald finished last Saturday with eight catches for 135 yards, both career-bests, in front of a sold-out crowd versus Cincinnati. The redshirt senior from Naperville, Ill. added a touchdown and a career-long 43-yard reception versus the Bearcats. McDonald ranks sixth nationally in receptions per game (8.0) and receiving yards per game (120.0). McDonald is pursuing a Master's degree in Sport Leadership and Management from the College of Education, Health and Society.
