ATHENS, Ohio – The Miami University women's swimming and diving team held second place finishing day three of the MAC Championships with 440.5 points behind the University of Akron in first place (548.5 points).

The women will compete again tomorrow, March 2, for the final day of the MAC Championships with preliminary events beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m.

How It Happened:
- The first event of the day was the 100 butterfly. Honor Brodie-Foy finished fifth, with a time of 53.29 qualifying for a NCAA B cut. McKenzie Reid finished eighth earning a time of 54.88.
- Following that, Nicole Maier claimed first place in the 400 IM with a finals time of 4:09.38 qualifying for a NCAA B cut. Emily Rinker claimed seventh (4:27.80).
- In the 200 freestyle finals, Greta Kolbeck finished third (1:47.08) also qualifying for a NCAA B cut. Kaylin Herbet finished fifth earning a time of 1:48.55.
- In the 100 breaststroke, Sara Lahrach-Sanchez finished second (1:01.4) and qualified for a NCAA B cut. Emma Schueler finished eighth with a time of 1:03.40.
- Miami had a strong finish in the 100 backstroke, with Madeline Padavic claiming fourth (53.26) qualifying for a NCAA B cut, alongside Angelina Cakuls in sixth (54.10) and Reid in seventh (54.72).
- To end the day, Miami's A team took third in the 200-freestyle relay with Brodie-Foy, Padavic, Herbert and Julia Waechter finishing with a combined time of 1:31.38.
