
Hamlett, Hlebec Named To All-Region Team

On Tuesday, Taylor Hamlett and Jamie Hlebec were named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-Midwest Region Team for the 2024 season. Hamlett was recognized on the Second Team, with Hlebec earning Fourth-Team honors.
Hamlett, a team captain, played 1,154 minutes across 18 matches this season, all of which she started. She had 10 goals and four assists, becoming the first RedHawk since 2014 to score double-digit goals in a single season, and finished the year with three game-winning goals. Hamlett had 63 shots, 27 of which were on goal. She helped the RedHawks beat Ball State at home with a brace and an assist in a 3-2 win on Oct. 18 and set a school record with 16 shots in the match, breaking the old record by five shots. She recorded a total of four goals and two assists across the opening two games of the season, earning a national Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honor. She was a First-Team All-MAC selection and was also named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.
Hlebec played in 19 games this season. She scored three goals and helped the RedHawks record seven clean sheets this year. She scored a game-winning goal in a 4-0 victory at Chicago State in September. Hlebec also scored the tying goal against Buffalo on Oct. 27 to help Miami post its first unbeaten home regular season since 1999. Hlebec was a Second-Team All-MAC honoree.
