Women's Swim and Dive Posts Win at Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-- The Miami University women's swimming and diving team beat Bowling Green State University on the road today, winning 164-79.Â

How It Happened:
- Miami's A and B 200-yard medley relay teams finished first and second to start the meet. The A team, Madeline Padavic, Sara Lahrach-Sanchez, McKenzie Reid and Kaylin Herbet came in first with a combined time of 1:44.00 alongside the B team, Jenna Halliday, Emma Schueler, Honor Brodie-Foy, and Julia Waechter in second with a time of 1:46.28.
- Next up was the 1,000-yard freestyle with Audrey Conley in first place (10:35.90), followed by Katheryn Antonowich in second place (10:38.67) and Casey Stephens in third place (10:40.47).
- Miami took the top three places in the 100-yard breaststroke with Lahrach-Sanchez in first (1:04.84), Nicole Maier in second (1:05.07) and Schueler in third (1:06.43).
- Greta Kolbeck produced two first-place solo finishes today, one in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.74, and again in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.10.
- Other first-place finishes today came from Halliday in the 50-yard freestyle (24.13), Herbet in the 200-yard IM (2:04.76), Maier in the 100-yard butterfly (56.57), Padavic in the 100-yard backstroke (56.03) and Antonowich in the 500-yard freestyle (5:12.18).Â
- Second-place finishers today were Brodie-Foy with a time of 24.34 in the 50-yard freestyle and Conley in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:12.23.
- Third-place finishes belonged to Taylor Connors in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.95), Ashley Sego in the 200-yard IM (2:08.38), Mady Bachmeier in the 100-yard butterfly (59.11), Waechter in the 100-yard freestyle (52.93) and Chrisna Bezuidenhout in the 100-yard backstroke (58.20).
- In diving events, Vivian Niekamp placed third in the 1-meter dive totaling 256.50 points, and Mia Meinhardt took second in the 3-meter dive with 257.55 points.
- The meet concluded with the 200-yard freestyle relay with Miami's A team made up of Padavic, Brodie-Foy, Waechter, and Herbet in first with a combined time of 1:35.32. In second place was the B team, Connors, Kolbeck, Reid, and Halliday, coming in at 1:36.81.
