Technology platform helps student-athletes gain notice for careers, internships, grad school, and NIL opportunities.
OXFORD, Ohio – The Champions for Life Leadership Academy (C4L) has announced its partnership with Podium X, a career development and personal marketing tool that changes the way athletes prepare and apply for jobs and internships as well as market themselves for NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities.
"We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to bring Podium X to our Champions 4 Life Leadership Academy (C4L) to support our student-athletes in their professional development while at Miami and beyond," says David Sayler, Director of Athletics.
"We look forward to showcasing our student-athletes' skills and accomplishments in ways that position them for the best careers possible upon graduation," says Emily Cisek, Director of the Champions 4 Life Leadership Academy (C4L).
The Podium X platform (www.podiumx.com) allows creation of an online profile that is specially designed for athletes to highlight their unique journey and valuable soft skills often developed through athletics. Student- athletes can represent themselves digitally or create traditional resume PDFs or NIL Pitch Profiles with a click and be matched to hundreds of national job openings. Employers post job openings and can view student profiles that match the skills they need.
"We are looking forward to getting Podium X on campus and sharing our personal marketing tools for NIL and career readiness tools," says Rich Thompson, Founder & CEO of Podium X. "As a former collegiate athlete and HR executive, I know the value athletic experience brings to the workplace. We want to help student-athletes showcase themselves in the best possible way to highlight those lessons learned and position themselves for career success upon graduation."
Podium X was developed by experts in career services with extensive experience in staffing and recruiting, training/development, talent management, and human resources. It is backed by the power of XPG Recruit Athlete, a division of Jacksonville, Florida based XPG Recruit, with an experienced team that specializes in placing graduated athletes into career opportunities.
