McCullough Named Cheer Coach

Miami Athletics has announced the addition of Jude McCullough as its new cheer coach. He will begin his duties immediately.

"I am ecstatic to be joining the Miami University community and to make the step into Division I," said McCullough. "I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and being able to continue to develop these incredible athletes! Coaching has always been my dream and passion. I'm eager to pass along my knowledge and experience to the next generation of cheerleaders."

McCullough comes to Miami after spending the past year as the head cheerleading coach for Otterbein University. He was the assistant cheer coach for the Cardinals from 2019-22 and helped to provide a positive and effective game-day experience, while also teaching tumbling and stunting skills to his cheerleading squad.

While at Otterbein, McCullough spent the 2022-23 season at Olentangy Liberty High School as an assistant cheer coach. He has also served at Midwest Xplosion Columbus (2017-present), Special Olympics of Ohio (2021-present), Cutting Edge Dance Studio/7 Dance Academy (2021-present), Olentangy High School (2016-20), X-Cel Athletes/Step One North All-Stars (2016-18) The Cheer Combine (2012-18) and Trinity All Stars (2012-13).

McCullough began his cheerleading career with the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2013-14. He has also cheered with the French National Team (2014), Detroit Pistons (2014-15), Cleveland Cavaliers (2015-17), Columbus Destroyers (2019-20) and the Columbus Wild Dogs (2020-21).
