Nuttall Takes Fifth in 10K to Advance to Nationals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Miami University junior Ava Nuttall finished fifth in the women's 10,000-meter race at the NCAA East Prelims today to advance to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Nuttall led for a good portion of tonight's race and covered the 10K distance in 33:23.74, just 10 seconds behind the first-place finisher. Nuttall's time was only 13 seconds off the MAC record, which she set in March.
Nuttall will represent the RedHawks at the national championships in Austin, Texas, with the women's 10,000-meter run scheduled for June 8.
