Three RedHawks Earn MAC Track and Field Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio-- Following an impressive outing at the Raleigh Relays, Miami student-athletes Charlie Harders, Ryan Smith and Ava Nuttall all secured MAC track and field athlete of the week honors on March 29.

Harders, a graduate student who is studying Computer Science, finished in sixth place in the 3000m steeplechase and posted the second-fastest mark in the event in program history (8:43.60). He was named Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Smith, a senior Sport Leadership and Management major, produced the best javelin mark in the conference (55.11m) and took Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Nuttall, a junior majoring in Biology/Premedical Studies, shattered the previous Miami school record by nearly 25 seconds and set a new MAC record as well with a time of 33:10.75 in the 10,000-meter run. She earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
