RedHawks Travel to California to Compete in Several Different Meets

AZUZA, Calif.-- The Miami University track and field team had some athletes compete at the Cal State LA Twilight, some compete at the Pacific Coast Invitational, some at the Beach Invitational, and some at the Bryan Clay Invitational this week.

The RedHawks travel to Bloomington, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Invitational next weekend on Friday and Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field, in the men's hammer event, Ryan Smith finished in tenth place with 54.95m. Blake Presley took 18th place with 50.91m. Ryan Smith finished in 16th place in the discus throw with 47.86m.
- In the men's 3000m steeplechase, Charlie Harders finished in fifth place with a time of 8:43.10. Jake Bertelsen finished 13th in the men's 5000m (Hit 4) run with a time of 14:05.07. In the men's 10000m, Obsaa Feda finished in 33rd place with a time of 29:42.70. Patrick Wills finished in 21st place in the 5000m (Hit 1) run with a time of 14:55.52. Mhalicki Bronson (14:13.84) and Max Polak (14:29.66) finished in 21st and 27th in the 5000m (Hit 5) run. Sam Pearl competed in the Pacific Coast Invitational and finished in 16th place in the 400m dash with a time of 48.86 seconds.
- Annie Christie finished in seventh place in the women's 5000m run with a time of 16:14.08, setting a new personal record! In the women's steeplechase, Jenna Sayle set a new PR in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 10:51.62.
