
Nicholson Named First-Team CBS Sports All-American

Graham Nicholson has been named a First-Team All-American by CBS Sports, announced on Wednesday afternoon. Nicholson is the first RedHawk to capture All-America honors since Sam Sloman was named second-team in 2019. The last time a RedHawk was named a first-team All-American was Travis Prentice in 1999.

Nicholson, a Lou Groza award finalist, leads the nation with 26 field goal makes and has missed only one field goal all season. He has made at least one field goal in all 13 contests, including three in a 23-14 win over Toledo in the Mid-American Conference Championship Game. He added three makes in wins versus Kent State, Ohio and Buffalo and was 2-for-2 against Bowling Green, including a career-long 52-yard make. His 113 points scored this season is fourth-most in program history.

Nicholson has also been instrumental on Miami's kickoff coverage team, recording 52 touchbacks on 70 kickoffs.
