Pair of RedHawks Compete at Milwaukee Classic

Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek and Laura Rico, two members of the Miami University tennis team, competed at the Milwaukee Classic over the weekend.

How it Happened:

Rico fell to No. 3 seed Julia Andreach (Notre Dame) in the first round by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
Denysiewicz-Slowek also fell in the first round to Jasmine Adams (North Texas), 7-6 (7-5), 7-5.
Rico and Denysiewicz-Slowek teamed up in doubles play as well, but dropped a 6-2 decision to a squad from Notre Dame in the first round.

The RedHawks are scheduled to compete at the UC/Pam Whitehead Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
